Views On Blood For Blood Series

The Blood for Blood series by Catherine Doyle has been one of my favourite's. This trilogy has it all from Romance to action, suspense and thriller. The first book itself in the trilogy titled ‘Vendetta’ draws you in quickly. Young Sophie Gracewell’s life changes quickly as she meets the Falcone brothers who had just moved in her town. In a moment of time everything changes for Sophie as she falls for Nic- one the Falcone brothers and just in short period of time she learns the truth about the Falcone family.

After that she decides to distance herself from the Falcone brothers, but as she tries to stay away from them, her life gets more twisted and intertwined with them. Shocking revelations and truths make her life just more and more difficult. To make things more worse, Sophie’s family is connected to these revelations in ways that she has never imagined. Now Sophie has to balance her heart and her safety as she is drawn more and more into the Falcone word. This book also sets up and intriguing love triangle between the Falcone brothers and Sophie. The plot in the book is quick paced and just after a few chapters moving slower, you will find yourself reading this book in the middle of the night to see how it ends. The mafia aspect of the thriller is what makes you more and more exciting. Vendetta pulls you in a crazy and mysterious world that you have never imagined.

The suspense and the mystery doesn’t just end yet. It just gets more and more intense in ways we can never imagine. This books holds you till the end. The second part of the trilogy titled ‘Inferno’ quickly takes you in as it is even better than Vendetta. Things tend to change a lot in the second part. Sophie’s life takes a drastic change and she starts to grow in a different person altogether. She stands up for herself and what she believes in and she does everything to protect her family.

She is headstrong and determined to unravel her family’s secrets. Sophie integrates herself with the Falcone family and we get to see and altogether different personalities of all of them in this part. Sophie’s relationships with the Falcone brothers also change a lot in this part. In this part Sophie tends to develop a very good relationship with Luca also one of the Falcone brother. She gets to discover a different side of him. Also Nic’s personality is altogether different in this part. When Sophie needs him the most he acts as he has nothing to do with her and keeps a lot of secrets from her. Doyle has handled Nic’s character very well in this part and the change in his personality is unbelievable.

It’s the third part- ‘Mafiosa’ and we haven’t reached our conclusion yet. The truth only seems to get blurred as we read further. The dynamics of the book changes when Sophie moves in with the Falcone family. This one change adds a lot to the story line and really sets the reader up for an explosive end to this series. In the third part too there were a lot of surprises for us in the store till the end. A blood war rages on the streets of Chicago and Sophie is protected by the infamous Falcone brothers. Sophie and Luca get more closer to each other in this part. The greatest Gracewell family’s secret is revealed to Sophie. Sophie has to discover yet how can she survive in this world permanently and live a normal life. Can she be the ultimate Mafiosa? Also who does she wants on her side for the rest of her life, Nic or Luca?

Doyle has really tried to intertwine both the family histories together. This book has been a wholesome compilation of suspense, thriller, mystery and romance. Overall if you’re in the mood for an exciting thriller, this is the best trilogy Series for you.
